Due to reader curiosities, we got this video out from YouTube that shows what happens if you microwave a iPhone (or any other smartphone, say). Pretty interesting, huh!
So students, every year there are two monitors selected from your class, right? I'm writing this article from my past experiences. This is practiced in most schools. All monitors/leaders are generally the "best boy" of the class/school (in discipline), or maybe the highest academic scorer (Well, the criteria does vary from school to school- I have written the common practice) . Observing leaders and captains from various schools, I have come to a conclusion and just decided to publish this article, as a guide. Being a leader is not that easy. One has to be taking the responsibility of his/her whole class, or perhaps, the entire school. Being a leader demands a lot from us. Some random quotes are: “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” -Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder “Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” -John F. Kennedy “The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjust...
Religion seems to have become a bone of contention in the intellectual circles of today; everyone has some or the other opinion on it. The debate on ethics and morality has not proved to be a laggard and is discussed as ferociously as is religion- its twin brother, with which it is clearly intertwined. In a new India that is witnessing the advent of pan-India saffronization, it is pertinent that questions are raised on either of these issues- issues which are influential enough to alter the course of a nation state in the postmodern world. It is the malady of our age that the word 'religion' brings to mind bouts of violence, unrest, and bloodshed when in actuality the definitions of religions contradict these images of gore. Every religion on this planet implores man to go on the quest of eternal knowledge, to seek his inner self and find God within himself. A popular couplet conveys the idea that one may traverse the entire universe in search of the divine, but at th...
IIS India conducted a public survey for teenagers on their feelings, emotions, what they love to do and all sorts of things related with that. The study was completed a week back and statistics was analyzed in that time. Here is the report on the Eating Habits of teenagers. A total of 629 replies were collected. Out of the 629 survey participants, 344 people said they eat healthy food like vegetables and fruits, and try to avoid junk food. That's almost a whopping 55% of the answers. Mind you, in this generation, I thought people eat more junk... But I am proved wrong. 106 people opted for "Everything that comes my way", which denotes that 16% teens like both junk and healthy and prefer one on every alternative day. 16% for this category is good under records. So the remaining 179, as you know, went for junk, constituting 28% of the whole. I feel this is in control and 28% for the modern generation is pretty good compared to standards. If you were a parti...
