The Memories

Image
Days pass by. Time waits for none. These are so common words. But, have you ever tried to decrypt it's meaning? Days pass by so calmly, so quietly. I just stare back at the days. Days littered with sprinkles of gold, days filled with mists of happiness, and days that shook me from within. I'm just looking at the "Timeline" of my small life, watching the moments of joy. You know what, they come in small numbers. Ask God, and he'll reply back, "Oh dear, happiness and sadness is equally balanced". Balanced. Oh no, the monotonous word, "Balance" that I'm fed up of. When you're in high school, everything around seems to come to a screeching halt, and the only one still efficiently carrying out tasks will be YOU. Yes, you! Look, all these days, in junior section, you have got 85% and above-sort-of marks. Your ribs crack down when you get your terminal sheets in your hand, maybe obtaining a mere 50 outt'a the traditional 80 marks. ...

5 Tags I love the most in HTML 5.01

It has been quite a time that HTML 5 was launched. Most of the active sites on the internet has started to use them. To start with HTML 5 you just need an updated and modern browser. HTML as always is too easy to learn and if you can understand basic English, HTML will be nothing too difficult for you. Here I will post about the tags that I prefer, due to their functionality, and flexibility on different browsers. I will be using the <code> tag to show how to use these codes. 1: <Abbr> tag: The Abbr tag is pretty useful and reduces a lot of work for coders (and for advertisers as well). What it does is it shows the definition of some word when the mouse is hovered over it. Here's it's syntax: <abbr title="Definition here">Abbreviation here</abbr> And here it is, in play: Abbreviation How can be it targeted by advertisers? One can put his url there and maybe, one day, it is possible to link the text in the title attribute to ...

The Teenager Study: Eating Habits Report

Image
IIS India conducted a public survey for teenagers on their feelings, emotions, what they love to do and all sorts of things related with that. The study was completed a week back and statistics was analyzed in that time. Here is the report on the Eating Habits of teenagers. A total of 629 replies were collected. Out of the 629 survey participants, 344 people said they eat healthy food like vegetables and fruits, and try to avoid junk food. That's almost a whopping 55% of the answers. Mind you, in this generation, I thought people eat more junk... But I am proved wrong. 106 people opted for "Everything that comes my way", which denotes that 16% teens like both junk and healthy and prefer one on every alternative day. 16% for this category is good under records. So the remaining 179, as you know, went for junk, constituting 28% of the whole. I feel this is in control and 28% for the modern generation is pretty good compared to standards. If you were a parti...

New talents on Youtube!

Image
Well, do you know what led to the discovery of Justin Beiber? (Sorry, I know, you may hate him) It was YouTube. A musician found out that Beiber had a lot of talent in him and called him up. He recorded his first song and that was a hit. That is also what is transforming to reality nowadays. Talented young people are hooking up on Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube and other communities where their talent is noticed. I noticed a lot of Indian talent, too. I had taken a interview of a rising star via e-mail (whose name I can't disclose because the person requested me not to publish due to her privacy reasons), who had been selected for Indian Idol round 3. The person said that YouTube helped her to reach fame. So the point is, video-sharing communities can earn you name and fame in a couple of days, or who knows, even minutes, maybe! If you are a professional in some area of work, share it in your channel. If, luckily, you get noticed, sponsors may even run after you! But, as I said...

A new partnership between Google and Airtel will make lives easy for subscribers!

Image
I am an Airtel subscriber for my mobile phone. While browsing through the tons of junk news I found some interesting piece of news that is noteworthy for Airtel subscribers and users. A partnership between Airtel and Google now allows Airtel users to access Google's services, like Google+, Gmail, Google Search, Image Search, etc, for free and no data cost would be charged. To access the service, according to sources, an Airtel user needs to visit  http://www.airtel.in/free-zone/  in his browser and then start using Google's services. However, the only restriction is that you are limited to 1 GB of browsing data, which is pretty much for searching and activities like checking email. These kind of deals between billion-dollar companies should arise often, otherwise, how would be benefit? 'Am starting to use it from today peeps, what about you?

What happened to Sreesanth?

Image
We all know he got bail from the court due to insufficient evidence of allegations of spot-fixing in cricket against him. According to current news, the BCCI is conducting a inquiry on Sreesanth and then they will decide whether to award Sreesanth a life ban or not. Sreesanth, after getting his bail, said that "he wants to prove his innocence and play cricket once again". However, with the recent controversies, I don't think he can ever make it back to the IPL or the national side. What do you people think? Is he really innocent? Did MCOCA actually make mistake?
